As a learning professional, I have made a tremendous growth spurt during the course Designing Learning for the Brain. Both in how I design and facilitate learning. Understanding how our brain functions feels like essential knowledge for all learning (learning) professionals. I would recommend the program if you're interested in growing as a person and as a (learning) professional.

Seline van Remundt, Freelance L&D, Trainer, Yoga teacher, Well-Being advocate

What will you learn?

Oh, so many things! But don't take our word for it. Explore what you'll be capable of at the end of the program if you give it your all, of course.

1

Learn about your brain

Get a grasp on the fundamentals of how your brain takes in and processes information, stores it (memory) and how we often work against the system.

2

Learn how to learn better

Once you have an understanding of the operational system, you’ll be able to understand and apply knowledge and methods to learn better with more strategy and intention.

3

Learn how to integrate science into learning design

Be able to look at the way you design learning through the lens of the brain and the operating system. This is where you’ll learn to integrate function and theory and become more aware of the advantages and limitations you have when designing learning.

Week 1

Comprehensive understanding of learning and development needs

You will be able to effectively identify learning and development needs within your organization, considering both individual and organizational goals, and apply appropriate assessment methods to determine the skills and knowledge gaps.

Week 2

Proficiency in designing effective learning and development programs

You will gain the skills and knowledge to design impactful learning and development programs that align with organizational objectives, incorporating adult learning principles, instructional design models, and innovative learning technologies.

Week 3

Measuring and evaluating learning outcomes

You will learn how to establish meaningful metrics and evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning and development initiatives, enabling you to provide evidence-based insights and make data-driven decisions.

Week 4

Ability to develop and continuously improve a strategic learning and development plan

You will acquire the tools and strategies needed to develop a comprehensive learning and development strategy, including methods for engaging key stakeholders, managing change, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within your organization.

Week 5

Week 6

Skills you'll practice:

I recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in this amazing learning journey with Lauren. The program focused on understanding how to learn and how to design more successful learning, and I cannot express enough how transformative the experience has been for me. The program not only provided a deep dive into the intricacies of the brain's learning mechanisms but also equipped me with practical strategies to enhance my own learning and cognitive abilities.

What if I don't want to enroll in a program, but still want to join the Offbeat Fellowship?

We understand that not everyone might be ready to enroll in a program, but may still wish to be part of our thriving Offbeat Fellowship. We've got you covered! We offer two other fellowship plans that you can choose from:

  1. Offbeat Silver for €79/ year: This plan gives you access to our private community, allows you to attend our weekly events, and provides you with our premium newsletter, monthly discounts, and high-quality content.
  2. Offbeat Gold for €499/ year: This plan includes everything in the Silver plan, and goes a step further by offering you personalized guidance through a dedicated personal mentor.

Each of these plans is designed to ensure that you have the opportunity to benefit from our resources, connect with our community, and further your personal and professional development, even if you don't enroll in a specific program.

Why can't I just purchase the program?

At Offbeat, we believe that learning is not a one-time event, but rather a continuous journey. While the program content provides important foundational knowledge, we've found that the best way to support learners is by offering long-term access to resources and community.

Therefore, when you invest in Offbeat, you're not simply paying for a program. Instead, you're joining a comprehensive learning ecosystem that includes ongoing events, a dedicated community, curated content, regular updates through our newsletter, and more. This environment fosters consistent practice and application of what you've learned, leading to more significant growth and improvement over time.

This is why we offer our learning experiences as part of broader fellowship plans, as we're committed to supporting your development journey beyond the confines of a single program.

How did you pick facilitators?

The facilitators of our programs are experienced professionals who not only bring substantial real-world practice to the table but also deeply understand our mission at Offbeat. They have been carefully selected based on their ability to align with our values, methodologies, and learning approach.

We believe that effective learning comes from facilitators who can bring theory to life with practical insights and who can cultivate an engaging, supportive environment. This understanding guides our choice of facilitators, ensuring you have access to mentors who are not just experts in their fields, but also adept at fostering a culture of collaborative, applied learning.
