What was this event about?

In the L&D world, success stories, lessons learned, challenges faced, and results achieved are often closely guarded secrets. In a rapidly evolving world, the importance of open-sourcing our projects becomes even more prominent.

"How do you support your leaders in growing?" That's probably one of the most popular questions we've heard lately. So we decided to bring to the spotlight people who want to share their own case studies with the world. If you're looking for inspiration about how to design your leadership development program, how to work with data to support leaders in growing, how to spice up your workshops, or what else we can do besides learning programs, you've come to the right place.

The participants explored real-world case studies in an authentic way, with the good parts, and the less successful parts. All so that we could learn together and have more impact!

What did participants experience?

Saad Qureshi

Non-executive director | Senior Advisor | Founder & CEO at Metron

Saad’s case study has almost nothing to do with your usual, traditional, content-based leadership development program. Starting from challenges such as “leaders feared admitting they don’t know something”, and “leaders looking at their workplace like a job, not a place where they can learn”, among others, he designed an unusual way to support leadership development.

Aditi Patil

Talent & Organizational Development at Wipfli

We are tasked with creating learning experiences that solve business problems, meet organizational goals, and build employee capabilities. And all of these asembled in an engaging learning experience. We may do a needs assessment, and stakeholder analysis and then design programs. But it can still fall short of expectations. What if there were a better way to design WITH your audience? In this session, Aditi will share how she used design thinking principles and led a hackathon to create prototypes for learning experiences in the Wipfli leadership experience. She’ll share how they went from a blank slate to a prototype to a launch.
