Join us for a series of real case studies of how L&Ds have measured their impact.
In the L&D world, success stories, lessons learned, challenges faced, and results achieved are often closely guarded secrets. In a rapidly evolving world, the importance of open-sourcing our projects becomes even more prominent.
At this week-long event, we're focusing on a critical aspect of L&D: measuring ROI. It's a challenge we all grapple with, but it's also a key to success. By openly sharing our experiences and insights, we can demystify ROI in L&D, learn from each other, and collectively raise the bar for success.

There are four audiences to address in Leadership Development Programs - the organization, the buyers, the leaders and the team members. The challenge is to make sure each of them is actively engaged and informed in the delivery and measuring of the effectiveness of the program. Vivo Team's ways for doing that is in the process of diagnosing, analyzing, predicting, prescribing, reviewing, evaluating the business results. In this session we'll use a case study to see the practical applications.

Decades ago, the duly elected legislative mandate resulted in police agencies standing up tactical assault teams for the "War on Drugs." By design, the teams had "tough cops" who knew how to "take the gloves off." Over time, the costs of; complaints, liabilities, injuries, and community mistrust around such teams brought into focus how this approach could press the boundaries of constitutional credulity if approached incautiously. Charles "Chip" Huth was a leader charged with "fixing" one such team. Traditional methods fell painfully short; however, when Chip's mindset began to change, the team was able to exceed all expectations, tripling strategic objectives while eliminating community complaints. The result was an inexpensive solution tackling an expensive problem delivering a huge ROI.

Suzano's Digital Academy has proven to be a resounding success. Over four years, more than 500 employees were trained in digital skills, resulting in over 100 practical projects. These projects generated over R$ 25 million (approximately 5 million dollars) in value for the company. Beyond financial gains, Suzano noted operational improvements, a reduction in environmental impact from certain projects, and a heightened appreciation for technology's role across the organization. Nathan will bring forward the story of how the Academy was built and its impact was measured.
